The club have received confirmation of the two cup final dates which are as follows: - The Manchester Senior Cup Final v Conference North side Hyde United will take place on Monday 28th April at The Presidents Cup Final v FC United will take place on Thursday 17th April at The Tameside Stadium home of Curzon Ashton FC. The remaining fixtures for the Boro are as follows: - Saturday 22nd March FC United (A) Monday 24th March Wednesday 26th March Saturday 29th March Clitheroe (A) Tuesday 1st April Curzon Ashton (H) Saturday 5th April Woodley Sports (H) Tuesday 8th April Rossendale United (A) Saturday 12th April Skelmersdale United (A) Tuesday 15th April FC United (H) Thursday 17th April FC United (N) Saturday 19th April Tuesday 22nd April Bridlington (A) Saturday 26th April Ossett Albion (A) Monday 28th April Hyde United (N) The above schedule leaves the Boro playing 14 games in just 37 days a game to be played just over every two days which is an horrendous end to the season, Director of Football Peter Coyne said, At this level of football and with players having full time jobs it really is asking a lot, on two occasions the players are being asked to play 4 games in 8 days which is unfair to the players and indeed the supporters, if you cannot carry a big squad it is obviously a problem, against FC on Tuesday we only had one substitute with injuries and players being cup tied and playing that number of games in such a short space of time will provide further instances of that nature which cant be right, but we just have to get on with it and hopefully the players can make it happen.
